Xbox Order states delivery date of 11/12/2020. Xbox Support says 12/23.

Hey guys, like a few other people on these forums I've seen people confused by the ship date of their consoles.

I ordered day one from the Microsoft store. (which yes I understand could cause some delay) But my dad also had a preorder from the Microsoft store which is also still pending with a delivery date of the 10th.

My order states and still does state that my estimated delivery date is November 12th (today). The order was still pending as of yesterday so I gave support a call.

The second I asked about the Xbox Series X they asked when I ordered and proceeded to tell me the earliest any would deliver at this point would be December 23rd. I even asked about my Dad's preorder and they informed me that if it had not already been shipped
the 23rd would be the earliest day to expect it.

They DID NOT check my order number and even refused it when I offered to provide them with it. And continued to tell me every chance I tried to provide them with either order number that they did not need to check it because the order would not come till
the 23rd.

Has anyone else had a similar experience or has anyone heard something differing from what I mention above.

Yes, everyone who ordered Nov 10th from MS store is not scheduled to arrive until Dec 23rd. Even of it said 11/12 on check out. I have seen some glimmers of hope on reddit forums with some peoples accounts talking to reps say they might get it sooner.
However, 90% of people's accounts dealing with customer support say Dec 23rd is the day we can expect. This stupid strategy to drop systems on day one from the store and charging or placing a 72 hour hold on my money in the bank for the XSX has costed me
a for sure day one deal from target. Im pissed and disgusted with this whole shopping experience with the microsoft store but in reality its not that big of a deal. Theres a world wide pandemic, microsoft is trying a world wide launch for the first time, global
demand is high, and i placed what i thought would have been a smart bet on from the store of the actual makers, but i got burned and busted out on that bet. Had stuck to my guns and stick with my Target day one strategy id have it right now. But if i predicted
last weeks lotto numbers id be a millionaire right now and just buy it off a scalper. And if frogs had wings they wouldnt bump their ****. Im glad my only problem right now is i have to wait 6 weeks for my XSX. And in the state of the world ill be blessed
if that's my only problem for the next 6 weeks lol

Most of us who ordered in this window at launch have been told to expect it by 12/23/2020. Customer support told me that on launch night/morning, the Microsoft Store malfunctioned and allowed more orders than it should have. There have been various people
who say their confirmation email said 11/12/2020 as delivery, some say it actually said 12/23/2020. There are also people who have been charged yet have received zero updates and haven't been notified their console has shipped. If you look through this community
and on reddit the stories are all some what similar. Everyone is hoping something happens and consoles start to ship. My order is still pending, I haven't been charged, and have received zero updates since the confirmation email.........outside of my calls
to Support where they said don't expect it until 12/23. Very frustrating for everyone as many of us have missed other ways to get a Series X this week assuming we had one through Microsoft.

Same here. I ordered my console on 11/10/2020 at about 1:25am in the morning EST . I was so excited to secure a console and even more excited to read the confirmation which said the money will ONLY BE WITHDRAWN upon shipment of the item. Well if the earliest
shipment date isn't until 12/23/20, then the earliest the money should have been withdrawn is 12/23/20. It would have given us a chance to secure a console by other means and bare minimum it's the financially responsible thing to do as a company. These aren't
pre-orders. It says on the confirmation that the latest possible ship date was 12/23/20, now it sound's like that's the earliest possible shipping date. Again...wouldn't be as big of a deal if they returned the money or were more transparent about shipping
issues. One or the other.
