    XBOX or MODEM/ROUTER?


    So I moved into a house recently and had Cox Communications set up my wifi. We used our own router and modem and my Xbox was able to connect to wifi just fine. Today I turned on the xbox and it wont connect to wifi at all. I've restarted the modem and
    since it's not a Cox issued modem i cant check to see if there is any MAC address filtering. Can it be my xbox wearing out? Please send help.

    honestly xbox one x is a pos when it comes to network connections

    I used to have that problem but I noticed it was my modem and not Xbox. Change your modem OP.

    Need help with xbox live

    My xbox(s) have been messin up lately, The wireless one used to do this alot but now my hard wired one right to the router doesnt like connecting have the time even tho we have internet going.. i think there is issues with XBL period lately. Best bet man is unplug your router and modem, wait a min then plug just your modem.. let it turn on and go online, then plug in your router. reset ur box and see if it works

    I failed to mention that we're using two Xbox's, I've tried port forwarding but I still get strict on my Xbox. UPnp is enabled and latest firmware installed

    Hi, you should be able to get your NAT open on that router without having to buy another one. Have you ensured UPnP is enabled and its running the latest firmware?

    Try resetting your modem, router, and xbox. Do the modem and router before restarting the Xbox.
