Xbox OneX no video output signal to TV.

Xbox One S has a 1080p output for this game with HDR. You TV upscale input video signal to 4K, if it not a 4K or less.

The Xbox One doesn't directly pass through the HDMI signal. It always "intercepts" everything coming in from the HDMI in port and processes it.

Since the original idea was to have TV and games "picture in picture", the Xbox takes the video signal, and processes it to be included with the TV app on the console and then outputs it via it's own video signal to the TV.

Since the original Xbox One isn't 4K capable, you will not get 4K from your cable box if you run it through the original Xbox One.

if you are trying to get the video/display from the Xbox console to show on your laptop (via HDMI cable), then that likely isn't possible as most laptops are not build to receive video signals from an external source. A laptop usually only outputs video signals to the display from the laptop itself or towards an external source like a TV or monitor

The "hz" rating on a TV doesn't have anything to do with the performance of a TV for gaming purposes. The output of most devices is limited to 60hz for 1080p. The input on most TVs is limited to max of 60hz for 1080p signals.



Also, the framerate of a game has little to do with the output signal on a device. I have my gaming PC hooked to my TV. While the FPS counter may say 120+, because the TV only accepts a 60hz signal my video card only outputs its frame buffer once every 1/60th
of a second.
