Xbox one's strict nat problem

Discus and support Xbox one's strict nat problem in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; So is their any news to when microsoft may fix the strict nat type on consoles using instant on mode?     Xbox one's strict nat problem


    So is their any news to when microsoft may fix the strict nat type on consoles using instant on mode? Because i still have to switch to energy saving mode to have an open nat most of the time which is frustrating as i enjoy instant on mode but i dont enjoy
    the strict nat type it causes so is their any news about this has microsoft atleast acknoledged the problem?

    2 Xbox ones on a Cisco DPC3825, NAT problem

    We have a Cisco DPC3825 and one of our Xbox one's had Open NAT the other says Strict. anyone have problem with same gateway?

    Sounds like OP has all of the tell tale signs of moderate or strict NAT.

    Not the Xbox One's fault.

    The other stuff is just nitpicking.

    What router are you using?

    And are you using address reservation in your router settings to reserve an IP address for the xbox?

    Sudden IP address changes can cause strict NATs

    I use address reservation on my router to reserve an IP for my xbox one and NAT is almost always open even when using instant on mode. If I don't use address reservation I find the NAT regularly goes strict

    strict NAT is due to ports not forwarded correctly or put xbox into DMZ but its unlikely you have this problem cause of Strict NAT as I have OPEN NAT and have this problem and as said it was working fine before the launch.

    I'm getting the same issue, NAT strict, can't connect to XBOX Live. NAT is not set to strict though on wireless router. Now getting a hardware warning that it is a problem with my hardware in my One. Great! Tried unplug, reset, great!

    As mentioned above it is most likely a NAT problem, i assume your NAT is Moderate or Strict. It needs to be set to Open to get the best chance of connecting to everyone.

    Hey guys just fixed the strict nat type problem. I have an optimum modem with one cable slot on back for my router. My router was making my nat strict. I put one of those cable spliters into my modem plugged my modem and hardwired xbox cable into the other
    slot on the splitter and nat was then open.
