Xbox one's power brick stays on in power saving mode

Hi.

After lastest software update, when I turn off my xbox its power brick is always on (the light is white). My console is in "power saving mode", but it looks like it is in "instant on" mode. I don't know if this is an issue with lastest update or with my
xbox. Any advice??

Can the Xbox One install while off?

yes, as long as you don't have it on power saving mode, IF your power brick is OFF when you shut down, then its on power saving mode, regular stand-by an the console shuts off but the power brick stays on, << you are down loading <<

 

XBOX ONE POWER BRICK NOT TURNING OFF (SET TO POWER SAVING MODE)

My xbox one is set to POWER SAVING MODE, not instant on mode. I repeat...it is set to power saving mode, not instant on. When I try to turn my xbox off normally, the power brick will not turn off. If I turn the xbox on again, it starts up immediately like
its in instant on mode. The brick stays on. I left it alone when I went to bed to see if it would be off by morning, and it was not. For some reason its thinking its in instant on mode or something. Does anyone know why it is doing that? It only started recently.

If you wait, does it eventually change colors? Also, when you power your Xbox One, does it power on instantly or does it power on like it did previously with power saving mode?

After turning Xbox off, power brick's light stays white whole time. When I turn console on again it starts quickly, just autologging into my account.

Is it possible that your power mode was changed? Be sure to double check that. If you're still having troubles, try removing your profile, power cycle your Xbox One, and then add it back. Let us know if there's any change.

 

hi I'm having same problem I hard started ,waited and checked if it was still in energy savings mode . I don't know what to do please help

 

Hello. I have my "power saving mode" on. I unchacked it and then checked again to be sure, and no changes. Finally, I removed my profile and after resetting xbox, I added it again. Still nothing has changed. Today i downloaded new patch but it didn't remove
the issue. The funnest thing is that my console works perfectly, but to turn it off entirely I have to go to options.

Thanks for the update on this. Can you give your Xbox One a
Factory Reset to see if there's any change? You can select the option to keep Games & Apps the first time you try, please let us know if there's any change

I did what you asked but unfortunately still no changes. I'm getting used to turning my console off via settings. I'm starting to think that my xbox is trying to tell mi I should prepere for Scorpio

No. I am the only user and I never signed up for the Preview Update.

Do you possibly have a friend with an Xbox One who's power supply you can test with your Xbox One? Just want to see if there's a change with the power mode

 

Hey and I'm sorry I did not answer for a long time.

Unfortunatly none of my friends have "fat" Xbox One, but there is a post on this forum from a user named LORDX who seems to have the same problem. He says he tested 4 consoles and all of them had this issue.
