Xbox ones NAT issues - 2 consoles UK

    Hi

Firstly let me start by stating I am not very tech savvy and have read a lot about ports/bridging etc and it's not really going in!

we have 2 xbox ones, having already had all the issues around the hack thing over Xmas I now have another.

my xbox one is hard wired and has Nat type open so all good.

my sons is wireless, upstairs, and is NAT type strict. This as you can imagine is doing his head in as it keeps kicking from parties etc.

i am using the Virgin Media super hub (made by net gear) if this helps. Tried the all four buttons thing after the network tests to no avail.

in simple 'old mans' terms where do I go from here to get either both consoles with NAT open or, at the very least, switch it so my sons has NAT open and mine goes restricted?

i have his set on energy saving and mine is on the other set up.

remember old dude here so keep it simples!

    :)

    multiple consoles

I'm running (2) Xbox Ones, (3) Xbox 360's and (2) PS3's all with an Open NAT with Port Triggering set. No issues at all.

  3. Stupid Problems...

Could be connection issues , with 2 xbox ones on the same network it takes a good router that "supports multiple consoles" to handle the traffic back and forth , last update REALLY brought that to light ...what kind of modem and router are you using ? Is
NAT open on both consoles ?

could my son be on probation

I've heard about an issue with playing 2 consoles on one router would give one a moderate nat.

can confirm on mine it works perfect with 2 xb1 and 2 xbox 360 and other gaming consoles with no nat issues that's enabling UPnP that's all

Is Microsoft addressing the strict nat issue?

I am in the UK with BT (Router BT hub 2).

3 Xbox 360's and the Xbone have "open" NAT by default.

No port forwarding or DMZ just PnP.
