Xbox One's first big update will address 'the Live experience,' expect streaming before E3

Big updates are likely to become before EOY

I specifically asked Phil spencer "Do huge Xbox one updates only ever come late in the year or will we see some huge stuff come right after E3?"
He stated "Honestly rather not do big updates EOY. Highest usage, new games, challenging time to update platform/service. Team did good work."



I specifically asked about Big updates so it is safe to say the next big update is likely to be before November. We know the next huge update, will be as big as the new Xbox one experience.
We know for a fact as of yet full DirectX12 is not officially announced as on the consumer version of the Xbox one.
it is believed to be because of Holliday time constraints towards the end of the year they could push out the full DX12 experience. This caused a delay in the work of Fable legends full release since it will be using DX12.
The big update is not related to DX12 but is believed to be a consumer Development programme which allows the consumer to create there own Xbox one games. Which will Open up the Xbox live arcade/indie store for free , which means we can get avatar games and more.

 

Is everybody looking forward to the new console unveiling??

I'd expect around the same type of game focus Sony did. Some first party exclusives, third party games, and perhaps some arcade/indie games. E3 will be the big game time though, expect a majority of the focus on the console hardware itself.

 

Hopefully they go back to basics lol and more customisable options like sorting the pins in order ( not just moving to the front )

Can we expect Dolby with this? It was supposed to come post-patch but never did.

 

Theres a mention in there for sorting out Partying in line for the exclusive Titanfalls.........mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

 

The update looks good but there's one update I hope they don't do, If you have over 100 friends do you really want to see them all popping online? No that will just get annoying I'm in the minority that prefer going to check if your friends are online, its
not like it take 10min to do but everything else I like.

 

Like others have said before, it would be cool if it told me when people who are in my favourites came online. Not the whole lot though, that would just be silly.

It wouldn't kill them to let us choose what notifications we see... I mean, I'd still like to see party invites, but not those "a game has been found" messages if I'm in a party but not playing the same game.

 

I don't miss the notifications at all now, if I jump back on the 360 now I find them really annoying, I never realised before how much they interrupted my immersion in the game. With the voice control it's so easy to just jump out of game have a quick
look then jump back in, much prefer it!

 

Tell you what i wouldn't mind was a option to put clips into folders or something so all fifa ones are together and cod ones together

 

^^^ Yup, I like that idea.... or at least a folder where clips that games automatically record get dumped.

Saved and un-saved folders would be good too.
