Xbox ones bottom gets warm by my 360

Now I do not have my xbox one directly on top of my 360. I want to clear that up. I have a small container/shelf. I have my 360 inside it and my xbox one on top of it. Now when I play on my 360, the top of the wood gets hot and that's right where my xbox
one is. The bottom of my xbox one of course, gets hot. Is it ok to have it like that? It doesn't get super hot but it's not warm either. I'm just afraid that my xbox one will get messed up. Hopefully I explained that to where it makes sense. Thanks!

:)

RE: Privacy Settings

Log in at Xbox.com, go to My Account, then 'Security, Family & Forums,' followed by 'Online Safety on Xbox 360' and at the very bottom should be one about Xbox Music, Video and Windows Phone. That needs to be on. Also, any other ones related to communication
in any way needs to be activated.

Buying a new 360 Slim

4GB isn't enough to hold anything but system updates and app storage. How big is your old one?
Why would you buy a new Xbox? The Xbox still gnaws on discs -- YUP, tis ture. Have you ever wondered... Why the (*^(% did my disc get scratched -- Must have been those gremlins. Well, the truth is that as the Xbox gets warmer and warmer... The disc gets
warmer as well... This makes the disc easy to scratch, so as the Disc is read, it starts obtaining millions of little scratches... Making the disc not work no more and you VERY angry .
I'm thinking two things. First, I have put many hours into playing many different games on the 360. The only games I have with scratches or scuffs are the ones I've purchased used. And they ALL work. Second, if you've had personal experience with
this, then why do you still actively play a 360 and post on the forums?

Hi Flamefightr,

I don't think you'll find a 100% answer on this, because there is no way of knowing how hot it hot, and is it heating to a point that it's causing or could cause physical damage to the console. That said, I personally wouldn't set my One on top of
anything that could potentially heat it up in any way. I would suggest keeping it in a well ventilated area, with no heat being applied from any devices. That is the only way to say 100% that you're not doing damage to your console.

Hi some amount of heat generation is normal however from the way you are describing things it sounds like there is a good possibility neither consoles have enough space to allow sufficient ventilation.

Can you please say if the consoles are in a unit with an open front and back, also if possible can you please provide measurements of the distance between the top of the 360 and the bottom of the shelf above and also the same measurement for the Xbox One
to the shelf above?

Discs are Warm inside XBOX One X Console

I think if the discs are simply warm they should be okay. I notice that discs in my OG Halo 5 console and my Xbox One X they do get a bit warm but not hot after use. Just like the console gets warm but cools itself off, I think its just a normal thing.
(others may have had different experiences though!)

How do you buy music in the Xbox 360 store?

Well I find it weird, cause when I searched for a soundtrack on Xbox Music On my Windows 8.1 PC it didn't have the soundtrack listed that the Xbox 360 had. As I want to get it and download it to my HDD on my Xbox 360.

Edit: thanks for the warm welcome btw.
