Its always worth getting an extended warranty IMO. Especially for first-gen electronics like the X1.

  6. I wouldn't know about a "slug"...

The original Xbox One looks like a fat cable box or an old DVD player from the early 2000's.

The Xbox One S is literally an Apple iPad retail box with breathing holes poked in.

I use to call it big, fat and a behemoth at launch. A console bigger than my Xbox 360 slim and PS4 Pro console. Especially when it has only DDR3 RAM bandwidth of only 68GB/s. But I no longer complain about the size. Microsoft were super cautious with the
design, the fact that it's bigger mean it will have better AIR FLOW than even the Xbox 1 S. Better air flow means better ventilation. The cooler your hardware runs, the longer it should last.

The reason why I think Microsoft made the original Xbox 1 console so fat, is because Xbox 360 had the RRODeath issue with earlier models, and Microsoft having to refund, replace, repair or extend the warranty on units which experienced the RROD.

I'm not worried about how the console looks it fitted into my unit quite well but more importantly the console is almost silent and that is a huge plus for me when playing my games.

  10. Sounds more like someone just sobered up from 2013's holiday drinking binge... this "slug" has only looked that way for 3 years now. smh

No. You'll just plug in and continue to play like normal.
Its technically a different device with a different OS. How can it swap XBOX's without needing to reformat?

when you transmit a game from your xbox to your pc you need to find yourself in the same network so that the data can be transmitted correctly
