    I have been trying to contact microsoft support for a while and they are not accepting calls. My xbox is very slow, it is not starting up games and it asks for me to connect to wifi and when i do so it still isn’t starting up games. When i try to login
    to a different account it takes forever to login and still has the same problem.

    No. You'll just plug in and continue to play like normal.
    Its technically a different device with a different OS. How can it swap XBOX's without needing to reformat?
