i just have a question. Is it bad to hard reset your xbof one everyday even if it's not needed. I have a power bar in my room and I turn it off when I'm not using my Xbox or tv to save energy.

    :)

No it's not bad at all, the only negatives are not being able to auto update and the boot time.

bro.. having your XB in an idle standby state will cost you a HUGE bill of about an extra $20.00 a year... and not worth it to have it like that...

It shouldn't damage it or anything, I tend to leave mine plugged in all the time unless I'm going on vacation for a long period of time.

Having it unplugged from the wall won't kill it.

I notice it does make a harsh hardware noise when you have it on or in standby mode and you cut power to it or hard reset. It's the same with my HP Pavilion dv6. My aunt said I shouldn't turn off my laptop by holding the power button but by doing so by going
to Start, and select Shutdown. However, it the OS doesn't respond which is the software which controls the hardware, there is no other way to get it working again without a hard reset.

There ARE issues with the Xbox 1 Dashboard. Many don't like the UI, It's not quite as responsive and fast as Xbox 360's Dashboard. If you think I'm wrong and don't understand me, ask Galactic Geek. He's seen my comparison videos between the Xbox 360 and
Xbox 1 Dashboard. Though X1's UI has improved since launch, certain parts of it are still sluggish compared to Xbox 360 which runs on weaker hardware.

FYI The Xbox 1 console is very power energy efficient. It has LED lights and an AMD 8 core Jaguar which is a "low power micro-architecture designed by AMD" (Wikipedia - AMD Jaguar). Xbox 1 also has DDR3 RAM which in tests proof though it has a lower bandwidth
than GDDR5, DDR3 is FACT less power hungry than GDDR5. I think that should answer your question ;D

It's practically a computer so just like those it can stay on but like others have mentioned, I turned mine to power saving mode because having it in standby constantly was creating such issues with freezing and UI sluggishness after preview updates.

No. You'll just plug in and continue to play like normal.
Its technically a different device with a different OS. How can it swap XBOX's without needing to reformat?
