    The xbox one is stuck and constantly flickers, it won't allow me to access anything, tried turning off, took power cable out but still not working, my lad reported the paddles not working just prior to it failing

    No. You'll just plug in and continue to play like normal.
    Its technically a different device with a different OS. How can it swap XBOX's without needing to reformat?
