    Its always worth getting an extended warranty IMO. Especially for first-gen electronics like the X1.

    Thank you for reaching out to us here on the forums with this inquiry. To answer your question no you don't need to have an Xbox One to be a Gold Member. You can use the Xbox Live Gold features on your Xbox 360 to play multiplayer with friends and family
    from around the world. For Windows 10 however you don't need to have Xbox Live Gold.

    If you do get an Xbox Live Gold membership for your Xbox 360 don't forget each month to redeem the Games WIth Gold games for both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, this way if you do purchase an Xbox One at a later stage as long as you still have an active Gold
    subscription the Xbox One games will be available for you to download and play in addition to the Xbox 360 games.
