Thanks for coming to the forums. We understand the console will not go to the home scree. We recommend to try a Soft factory reset. You will need to follow the

offline update until step 3 to see if you can bring up the troubleshoot menu. You can also continue doing the offline update if you like.

Hi you may want to try a power cycle of the console Hold the power button down on your xbox itself for 15 seconds until it shuts off. Then unplug it so no power is going into the console for 30 seconds.

need assistance as "Upload" still will not launch without causing the Xbox One to freeze.

It seems to be getting better for me, on Xbox One anyway. Xbox 360 version still freezes quite often.
