    Xbox One "Xbox On" feature No Longer Working


    Ever since the last update, this useful feature no longer works as intended. If I stand a few inches away and yell at it, it works. Other than that, not working.

    I have restarted, soft reset, and re-calibrated the Kinect several times now.

    Anyone else experiencing this? Know of a fix?

    Been using Google Chrome and never had anymore issues replying etc... as opposed when having FF , so no complaints here

    Hey there CosaNostra88!

    Sorry to hear about the voice command issues. I recommend trying a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can get this issue sorted.

    Please give the following steps a try:



    • Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
    • Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord and unplug your Kinect.
    • Wait 5 minutes and plug in your console and Kinect.
    • Power on your console.
    • Try to Calibrate Kinect microphone again. Before you start the calibration, make sure that the room is quiet and make sure that your speakers are turned
      on and the volume is louder than normal.
    Give the listed steps a try and let us know if you are still experiencing the same issue.

    Mine is the same, everything else works, and the generic reply above doesn't fix it

    I had to do the Kinect calibration again and mine worked. I had the same issue a couple months ago.

    Thanks for the responses. I think the power cycling and re-calibrating might help, but after doing it a few times I was still having the same problem.

    benmk2 - did the above steps help at all for you?

    CMUchippewa - thanks for the response, did you calibrate once and it worked?

    Same issue here... can't keep the streaming working for longer... :-(

    Hope they fix this soon... It's the most used feature to me in XBOX ONE....
