Xbox one -> xbox 360 virtual machine profile edit

So when I load up a backwards compatibility capable game on my XBOX ONE, it does the whole XBOX 360 start up and logs into my XBOX 360 profile. Well I didn't have an XBOX 360 profile before XBOX ONE, so it created one for me. Is there any way to edit that
profile or gamer pic? I can't seem to figure out how to change it. I am only able to access the loaded game's menus and when I go online, I can only edit XBOX ONE profile things. It gave me a default XBOX 360 gamer pic that I get to see every time I load up
Dark Souls, and honestly... I hate it. Ironically, it shows this default XBOX 360 account as my avatar next to this posting on the forums. I HATE SOCCER BALLS lol. I just want to change it to the default xbox green square. Its obviously not the end of the
world, but I thought Id ask to see if anyone out there has figured out how to edit it. Thanks in advance!

To use a PC to edit your Xbox Live profile it needs to be Windows 8?

Using Xbox 360, you can go to setting>>profile>>edit profile>>then you can update your information.

Gamer picture

Please go to your XBOX 360 Dashboard > Settings > Profile > Edit Profile > Gamer Picture > Change Gamer Picture > Select the gamer picture you'd like and you should be set.

Hello Proto,

Boot up an Xbox 360 game on your Xbox One and on the title screen (after you are signed into the profile), press both Menu + View (the three horizontal lines and the overlapping squares) and press RB to get to the right-most tab, then select Profile -> Edit
Profile -> Gamer Picture -> Edit Gamer Picture and select anything you wish from the list.

This change should be reflected immediately on Xbox 360 and fairly quickly (there's always some delay, maybe a few hours) here on the Forums.

Let us know how you get on.

There's no reason it couldn't be done. All games on the One are run as virtual machines. The 360 did backwards compatibility with virtual machines as well. Not sure they'll take the time and effort to do it but it would be a great feature.

I mean when the xbox one is launching the virtual machine for XBOX 360, i think you could change language

Virtual Pool - Tournament Edition is an Original Xbox title and not one that is compatible with the 360.

With the reports I have read, the XBOX One is running two virtual machines; one for gaming and one for "other" stuff like SKYPE. If this is the case then why not run the XBOX 360 in a virtual machine? I can virtualize an old PowerPC chip on any virtual machine
and with AMD's IOMMU allowing for virtualized IO you wouldn't loose and graphics capabilities either. Well seems like it to me.

And yes I did run XBOX games on my XBOX 360 for quite a while. I'm lazy so going to the closet and pulling out the xbox 360, hooking it up, playing a game, and then returning it to the closet is lame.

And thanks for the correction about the PlayStation not being backwards compatible directly. They are planning to stream apparently.
