Xbox One: Xbox 360 Games Freezing On The Logo Screen

Around a month ago, I loaded up Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (the Xbox 360 version) on my Xbox One. For some reason this caused my Xbox One to lock up at the Xbox 360 logo screen forcing me to hard reset the console. After loading the console back up,
I received an error message causing me to have to delete all data and factory reset my Xbox One. Since then I haven't tried to load a 360 game on my Xbox One until today, where the console immediately froze at the same screen and I was forced to hard reset
it again but luckily not to factory settings. Is this common and if so is there a way to fix this so I can play my Xbox 360 games on my Xbox One without the risk of freezing and being potentially locked up and needing to be reset to factory default again?

XBOX 360 Xbox Live Update

This is the first time I am updating my XBOX 360 Xbox Live since purchase in 2006. It has already been 30 minites since the update rebooted my console on its own, leaving the XBOX 360 initialisation screen (XBOX 360 logo on white background) and freezing
on that screen. Is this normal? Or is there something wrong with the updating?

Usually the most common problems with this issue are related to corrupt data on the cache or profile.

Try first to perform a
power cycle. If it does not work, delete your profile from the console and re-download it again.

 

I tried both things and while the console doesn't freeze anymore, it still doesn't load up any of my downloaded Xbox 360 games past the logo screen. Do they have to be on the internal hard drive?
