    Xbox one X

    Hi,

I am thinking of buying an Xbox one X.

I bought an xbox one S when they came out for the 4k player and 4k upscalling, I have a nice 70" 4k tv.

After buying the "S" the X came out and I felt like, well the S is good enough, I cant see spending another $500.

But lately more and more I feel like I really want to see the best game experience I can, so I am going to gift my xbox one S to my one of my kids and buy the X.

BUT, before I do, has there been talk about a new console from Microsoft coming out?

I mean if I buy the X am I going to find out 3 months later a new console with even more power is out or coming out and I should have waited?

See, I had the ps4, loved it but missed my xbox, then the S came out and I figured, hey as long as they make a better, faster console, Ill go back, I was happy over all but missed baseball, anyway, I figured it is worth the exchange for better graphics and
    faster game play without lag.

The only time I see lag is when I play co op with my grand kids on split screen then it gets laggy, so I am saving up for the X, unless I find out that next xmas a new console with even more memory and faster gpu is coming out, then I will just wait.

I want the best 4k experience I can get for my tv and console.

Also, are there revisions to these consoles, like the latest revision using different, newer memory or anything like that? How can I be sure to buy the latest build of an X?

Thanks for any help.I do love my xbox overall, still mad about baseball and no boxing, but what can you do?

    :)

Train Sim World, Train Simulator 17?

I wonder why the HUD lowers the framerate by so much?

No, there has not been talk of a new console coming out yet. E3 does happen next month so they would most likely announce something like that then, but I highly doubt there will be something new this quickly.

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate that information.

While I was waiting I read the first 5 pages on these forums, I realize people not having issues usually dont go post about that, it is usually the ones with issues that bother to post, but holy cow are there a lot of people with issues,

I am a little skeptical now if it is even worth it to upgrade and possibly end up with all these issues?

It seems like a lot of people are having to send their consoles back and then have the same problems over and over.

Is there anyway to determine if a console was just made and is more up to date than the older ones released back in November?

Have there been any revisions that you are aware of?

What is the best bet to buy the latest build?

I am not in a rush I just wanted to find the newest build, most up to date after initial release and upgrade from the S to the X.

    Should I even bother?

    Thanks again

    Matt

I'm not aware of any revisions or latest builds so I'm not sure what to look for. However, you could probably look for recent bundles that have been released. There is a Sea of Thieves bundle which is the newest bundle so that would possible have the most
    recent consoles.

As you said though, most people who post are going to have bad issues. I've had a Project Scorpio edition since day one and have had no issues as well as a second X that was bought a couple of months ago that hasn't had any issues.

Thanks for saying that, I needed to hear someone say they had no problems, lol.

Well I think your advice about the latest bundles probably is the best bet, but your not having any issues was very reassuring.

    Thanks

Will Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Xbox one edition work on my Xbox?

There is no xbox one x edition it's just xbox one version

There is no x or one requirement for Xbox one games. Xbox one x has more power that's it

Series consoles have more powrr in spades from xbox one

And there is no xbox one series x

Just xbox series s or x

    Can't play goat simulator 3???

It actually would. There's an Xbox One, One S, and One X that are all in the same family. Then there is the Series S and Series X that are in a completely different family of consoles.

An Xbox One X is not the same as a Series X. The game will not work on an One X.

Why does it say Jedi survivor is no longer available?

GTA V xbox one X|S version

Xbox one isn't xbox one s or x compatible they are all compatible it's only the x that has some enhancements but generally the game will download on any xbox one

Series x is just xbox series s or x

    Not xbox one s

NBA 2K24 disc for my console will not even install error code 0x87e10013

No such thing as an Xbox One Series X. The Xbox One family of consoles has an S and an X but are still just Xbox Ones. You need the Series family of consoles. The Xbox Series S or Xbox Series X. These are different from Xbox One S or Xbox One X.

The "One" and "Series" are the console types.
