Xbox One X Xbox Live Won't Always Connect

I have an Xbox One X that won't always connect to xbox live on startup. Sometimes it takes a minute or two to connect. Sometimes it takes longer and on a rare occasion it won't connect at all.

I have set a manual IP address and DNS, but it still suffers the same problem. It does this on wireless as well as wired.

Before I got the One X I had an original Xbox One which never had this problem.

Can't connect to xbox live?

I've always been able to connect to xbox live with my xbox one, but for the past day it won't let me connect with my account. When i try to connect with another account on the same xbox it works, but for some reason its just my account that won't connect.
Please help.

 

Is my x-box broken? Help?

I have a x-box 360 slim, I play all the time and it works fine. I bought x-box live recently but my xbox could not detect any wireless networks. The wireless network section said no networks or what ever. My friend told me my wireless finder must be broken.
So i got a xbox 360 wireless adapter. Now my xbox finds the internet, my internet is the first one. I select it and my xbox won't connect to live I've tried a hundred times and it won't connect. Is my xbox's ability to connect to xbox live broken.

 

It sounds like its a problem with the router and/or xbox live services. I know when its stormy outside that it will mess with things related to the internet. I would check the status of xbox live and check and outages you have in your area.

 

It's been happening every day since I bought the console. Doesn't matter what weather. My modem and router have not changed at all and my other xbox's worked fine with them.

When I check the status of xbox live on the console it says my end is all good but there are problems with xbox live services, which there aren't according to the xbox live service status website.

This is definitely a problem with the software end of the One X as neither of my other Xbox's had this problem.

Thank you for bringing this up and letting us know, it is good that you have set up a static IP address and set a manual DNS. Since the console already has a Static IP address it would be good to port forward to ensure an open connection to the internet
for the console.

To port forward, contact the manufacturer of the router used on the network the console is on and they should be able to provide a tutorial on doing so or, visit this website with a wide range of instructions for port forwarding found
here.

Is the problem still going on?

 

We are having the same issue as Ubervelt. I see there is a service issue with downloading content, but I think it is farther reaching.

We can't watch/stream ANY movie service for the last 5 days. Netflix, Vudu, Amazon Prime...They all initially load, but, can't consistently play the movies. It's like all the movies are buffering but not fully operational. I should mention our wireless
is fine. All other devices in our house, including roku, ipads, i phones, computers are all working just fine. Something is really messed up with either our unit, or, with xbox live connectivity. We've never had this happen before.

Usually there is no error message on the network menu, however I have recorded a video of my issue and on the network settings page it says that Purchase and Content Usage is currently unavailable, which, according to the Xbox service status website is temporarily
happening. I can record another video when this service is up and running to show that there is no error message that comes up with this problem.

In the video you will see as the Xbox starts up and goes to the dashboard, it just sits there as if it is not connected to the network, like its waiting for internet to connect.

I am in Australia, my service provider is Telstra, my connection speed is 100Mb/s and the modem/router is a
Technicolor DJA0230TLS.
