    Xbox one x won't turn on when controller is connected to the usb


    My Xbox one x won't turn on when I hit the home button on the controller when it plugged in to the USB. I hold the home button for a few seconds and it blinks a few times but doesn't turn on the Xbox box. I have to unplug the USB from the controller and
    then hit the home button and then it turns on like normal. Everything is up to date even the control. Don't know what it can be. Has anyone gone through this or am I missing something. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance and have a great day

    Firmware bug: no power on when mic is in controller and controller usb cable connected.

    I want to report a firmware booting bug: xbox x doesn't power on when mic is in controller and controller usb cable connected after dis/reconnect the powercable.

    Pushing the power button on the console result few seconds power lights on and goes dead again every time.

    After dis/reconnect the powercable and without mic in the controller then it will power on normally and also when mic is in controller and power on normal wireless (=without controller usb cable connected).

    So only mic and usb cable in the controller doesn't power on!

    To anyone who has this problem, I found a solution on my own.

    1) With controller connected to USB in the side port, pull the power out of the back of your xbox one.

    2) Count to 30

    3) Pray

    4) Plug the power back into the back of your Xbox

    5) Use your controller to turn the Xbox One on, and you should see on the home screen that your controller is connected to USB.

    6) Plug in your Xbox One headset adapter.

    7) Place your controller on the table, floor, anything stable to where it won't be able to move.

    8) Start the update.

    9) Hope that this helps you.

    Hi

    It sounds like it may be something to do with the USB cable you are trying to connect your controller to the console with. Can you please try using another USB cable to see if this resolves the issue?

    XBOX controller automatically turns off

    I have the same issue. It's okay when watching NETFLIX with a headset connected but Amazon Prime Video turns off the controller. It's very irritating.

    Connecting a USB cable is unacceptable. The controller is supposed to be wireless. I'm not using a blooming charging cable because then the controller won't be wireless. Not sure if it makes a difference but I'm using rechargable batteries and the headset

    My sync button turns off my Xbox one X and won't connect any controllers.

    When controllers do connect they disconnect and flash.

    It sounds like it may be something to do with the USB cable you are trying to connect your controller to the console with. Can you please try using another USB cable to see if this resolves the issue?

    You could also try connecting your controller to the console with a uSB (play and charge) cable and use the controller Nexus button to turn the console on.
