XBOX ONE X wont stop overheating

Like others have said make sure you have enough room around the xbox and if it is still overheating then there could be something wrong with the fans on the inside. I would call Microsoft about it, they can fix it or replace it, that is if you still have
a warranty still on it. If not then I would find someone that is very good with consoles to take a look at it.

Call Microsoft 1-800-4my-xbox and get insurance on it. It will be cheaper than having to buy a new console.

What error are you getting that says your console is overheating?

I doubt it's in warranty anymore, I got it used. ... I haven't even had it for more then a year.

Depending on how long (or short) the previous owner had it, it might still be within warranty.

Please go to
https://devicesupport.microsoft.com and if not already done so, register the serial number of the console there.

On that page you'll see the warranty status of the console. If it's within warranty, just sign it up for repair.

If it's out of warranty, follow the steps to sign it up for repair, and you will be shown the price how much it'll cost to repair/replace the console. If you're not willing to pay that price, you can simply abort the process.

If the cost for the repair is something you're willing to pay, you can then continue.
