xbox one X wont show installed or ready to install games- Internal and external drive

Hello all.

Last month my ONE X started showing some weird signs...

booted it up one day, navigated to my installed(internal games) games section and the spinning circle just stayed there.. it would not show games and if i navigated to the internal storage the same issue is present..

same thing happens to my external drive.. i cant access my games anymore UNLESS i navigate to the game via the store and launch from there.

this is becoming tiresome as i have to now keep a list o games purchased etc to launch etc.

Soft and hard reboots dont fix anything..

am i going to need to do a full factory reset? has anyone experienced these issues before?

Make sure you are signed in on the account that owns the games.

this should not be an issue as i am the only account ever on the xbox and sole purchaser of the games both physical and digital.

Hi there LightHARMONIX2,

Thanks for reaching out here in Xbox Forums. I understand there is an issue with the Xbox One X.
I recommend to try a Soft Factory Reset(while keeping games and apps)
Before resetting your console make sure of the following:

There is a stable network connection.
The information for all profiles is known (email and passwords)

If the console is not responding properly by providing the different menus.
Try this:

Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
Press and hold the BIND button (located below the Xbox button on the console) and the
EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the
Xbox button on the console.
Continue holding the BINDand
EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
Listen for two power-up tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the
BIND and EJECT
buttons after the second power-up tone.
The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.
Select Reset this Xbox
Select Reset this Xbox and Keep Games and Apps

In some cases, if a corrupt game file is causing the issue you're troubleshooting, you may have to choose
Reset and remove everything, but you should always start with
Reset and keep my games & apps and save Reset and remove everything as a last resort.

Give this a try and let us know the results.
