Xbox one x wont install some games

You cannot use Rise of the Tomb Raider from 360 on xbox one, because dont and wont be on Backwards Compatible because that game already has a xbox one version.

So you cannot install it on xbox one x.

I've tried all that. I've even tried logging in using a different xbox profile.

Nothing I do will get the app to install on my Xbox One X.

I just don't understand why the app will download just fine on my OG Xbox One but totally fail to download on my Xbox One X even after a full factory reset. It's just baffling.

If it wasn't for the fact that it's the only app that wont install I would assume my X is faulty. But all other games and apps I try install fine.

Thanks for your answer, I did already try and other games are fine (at least the ones I tried) and the issue is consistent on both consoles.

The only other game I cant install is DOAX2, but thats different case - there is not even an option to install.

Seem like I found a solution myself - I disconnected the console from Xbox LIVE and both games installed properly (again, this is consistent on both the old "Premium" and new "S"). I wont know whether it causes any further issues until I give those games
some extended play time - for now I only launched Gray Matter to make sure I can play the installed game while connected to Xbox LIVE and all seems fine for the time being.

Microsoft should really look into this...

That first game, you said won't install on both consoles, that contents it's a problem with the disc and not with your Xbox.

Is there still a warrenty on that game?

Then I suggest you send it back to where you bought it.

Strangely enough, i came accross the same error here, in the nld (europe). I just bought duke nukem forever yesterday at the local game store, but it would'nt install (it just stays on the install game screen, doing nothing and just a hard-reboot works).
Just like Nappli, i googled and found out that i had to sign-off. I did, and the game installs right now (39%).

Microsoft should really look into this
