Xbox One X with Kinect and auto dimming lights

I got a Kinect Adapter and set it up to use my Day One Kinect with my X today and the auto light dimming isn't working properly.

I was hoping Kinect would help with dimming the console's power light like the Xbox One, as there are no user controls for this and it's quite bright. Since setting it up, it does dim both the console's and Kinect's lights, but only when I open the guide.
As soon as I close the guide, the lights brighten again, open the guide and they dim and so on. Going through the Kinect set up again hasn't made any difference.

This never happened when it was connected to my Xbox One and neither the TV nor Kinect have been moved.

At first I thought perhaps the TV's display brightness, which I haven't changed, was confusing the sensor, but even when the screensaver is active and the display is darker than when the guide is open, both lights do not dim. They only dim when I open the
    guide.

Having paid for the adapter to be able to continue to use Kinect and one of the benefits being the auto dimming of these lights, I'm disappointed with this not working correctly.

Is this a known bug and is it going to be fixed?

    :)

    Xbox One power light dimming

White power button distracting too you?

I wish they had brightness sliders for the power light and for the Kinect light, including allowing you to turn both lights completely off.

Originally, Kinect would detect the light level of the room and dim the lights accordingly, but MS then allowed manufacturers to disable most of the features of the Kinect in order to gain extra resources to use elsewhere and the light dimming is affected
by that, so in many games now the lights are on max no matter how dark the room is.

Xbox One X with Kinect and auto dimming lights

My Kinect and console light auto dimming is still acting oddly. When in a game both are bright, but when I open the guide they both dim and stay dim when I go home and browse around the console. Back to the game and they go bright again.

It's a bit annoying, because the X power button light is quite bright in a low lit room. I was hoping hooking up Kinect would produce the same experience with the light dimming as on the One.

My XBOX ONE keeps turning on by itself...Help?

I'm bumping this up because my Xbox One just started doing this yesterday. We turn it off, it turns itself back on within an hour. The screen is dimmed and won't light up even when we use a controller. Auto-sign-in is off as is the ability to turn on the
    Xbox using Kinect.

    Xbox power light dimming?

Seems to change based on the light in the room. Kinda like when your phone screen dims. Dark room = dim Xbox logos on the system, Kinect and controller, bright room = bright light.
