  1. Xbox One X wired connection issue

    I have an issue where my Xbox One X will not connect through a wired connection. I'll start with an Info dump;

    Gateway: **** SBG6580-2

Two Xbox One (X/S) connected to router X wired, S wirelessly in separate room.

One PS4 connected wired, no connection issues

One Xbox 360 connected wired, No connection issues

My previous Xbox One was a base model (not S) which I had wired without issue.

The problem happens intermittently, but frequently. Sometimes upon start up it will connect fine, more often than not it will require me to either restart the X and or the modem in order to get a proper connection. Once I get a proper connection the console
will work without issue until I shut it down, upon restart the issue is present again.

This issue occurs regardless of whether or not the start up setting is Instant-On or Energy Saver.

This issue occurs regardless of the start up setting of the Xbox One S, or whether the second system is on and connected to the router. I have replaced the CAT5 cable I was using with my original Xbox One with a CAT7 cable.

I have contacted chat support and gone through completely unplugging and reconnecting my system and Hard Resetting. Neither permanently fixed the issue.

I have tried setting the X up in DMZ Host, I have tried Port Forwarding and triggering. I have set its MAC address on pass through.

I have UPnP turned on through my router.

I have noticed that when it is not connecting properly that the IPv4 displays numbers it should not be; IP(169.252.204.141), subnet mask (225.225.0.0) and Gateway(0.0.0.0) and no DNS settings. Also usually a 5 digit Port number instead of 3074 although not
    always.

I have tried making the IPv4 setting static but this does not help either.

I am trying to determine what the issue is so that I can figure out a fix.

    :)

  3. Won't connect with Ethernet cable

Just hooked up my new Xbox One X and used my existing ethernet cable from my old Xbox One (which worked fine). New console doesn't detect the wired connection and wireless works fine. I prefer wired connection for raiding and multiplayer games.

I bought new cable Cat6 and tried it as well but again, not reading wired connection. Both cables old and new work fine on other Xbox One and laptop so it's not the router port or cables.

How do I tell if it's the ethernet port or some configuration for Xbox One X that is different from old Xbox One?

    Thanks!

What do I do if my Xbox takes too long to start all my games?

It’s an Xbox One X. I used a wired connection.

Xbox One X wired connection issues

Was wondering if you had ever heard back on this issue? I "upgraded" my original Xbox One to the X, and since I have been

    1) unable to join groups to play coop games with friends

    2) unable to stream off apps steadily

    3) Severe lag issues on all online games (though, I have to join random online games because apparent the "super machine" cannot handle premade groups for anything)

The foretold super machine is nothing more than a pile of junk. Nothing but issues since I have had it, and its a shame.

Before any dev team members or customer support replies with "check your connection, open your ports, all the other cliche answers, this is not the issue, everything else operates as is supposed to, and my oriinal Xbox One still does not have issues with connectivity.
Please fix this junk, and make the $500 investment not feel like a cheap April fools joke.
No, I haven't heard anything back yet, unfortunately. Are you using wired or wireless connection?

    Can you use a XB1/XBS controller on a Xb360 with a cable?

No, it's not possible to use an Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S controller on an Xbox 360 even connected with a wire.

    Xbox Series X keeps disconnecting

I have one Xbox (Series X) wired via Ethernet. I can play on WiFi with no disconnects but I prefer a wired connection for gaming.
