Xbox One X will not update past 86% and will not rest to factory defaults.

Hey folks,

Pretty upset, as my expensive Xbox One X is not resetting to factory defaults after having an issue with the system hanging on the green boot screen after an update was forced onto it via the insider program. I started getting strange pixels on the green boot screen that would ultimately never load the home screen. I decided to reset to factory but now I can't even use my system. I am now out of warranty and had this issue happen twice before and sent it into Microsoft. It's literally the same problem it had before and now I'm sure they expect me to pay them $300 for an update they forced on my xbox. I wasn't aware that by joining the insider program, my xbox had the possibility of being turned into a paper weight. Why would anyone sign up for that?? If anyone has any suggestions on what I can do outside of paying these bastardos, it'd be much appreciated!

This whole ordeal may remove me from console gaming all together if it isn't remedied. I've had more problems with Xbox than any other device I've purchased over the years. (...and I have a whole lot of devices....) If you spend $500 on a friggin console, it should work and provide quality performance and entertainment for years in my opinion. So ridiculous and I feel taken advantage of and lied to. I know my system isn't bricked and I feel like this is a ploy to get money after being forced to accept an update that rendered my device useless. Seems like a pretty good racket someone is getting some serious kickback on $$$....

Anyhow, sorry about the rant. Been dealing with this and have been without the system for weeks with no word from Microsoft or other threads I've posted. I just wish someone could provide a fix or fix the system THEY broke with their update.

Anyone else having this issue or share my feelings in this regard?
