    XBOX ONE X wifi network speeds are half as my laptop,,Why?


    I noticed that my games seem to to running slow this morning. I was tipped off by shooting my weapon in COD WWII and then waiting to hear that actual gunfire. So, I checked my wireless connection speeds using the network test in
    settings on the XBOX ONE X and that showed that i had 140 Mbps download and 20 Mbps uploads ping over 100 . I then checked the wifi connection on my laptop which is next to the console. Through speedtest I got 318 Mpbs download and 21.1 Mbps upload with a
    ping of 38. Through Speakeasy I got 304 and 20.8 for speeds on the laptop no latency given. ISP speed test was 277 and 20.4 with 19 ping

    Why would i get such a difference in the speeds between my laptop and the console when both are on the same network. XBOX have a **** wireless adapter? I have a wireless repeater so I can use the 5G connections through the house which i am connected to right
    now. Any one know why and is there an fix?

    Xbox one WiFi speeds

    I'm having a lot of issues with my Xbox ones WiFi speeds. I run a test on my phone via the speed test app and my WiFi speed is around 60mb but my Xbox one when running the detailed network stats it shows as 9mb and highest it has ever been is 15mb, I have
    tired wired but was getting a moderate nat type so switched to wireless and got an open nat type.

    I am using a BT hut 5 and all other devices on the network are getting the same results as my phone.

    Faulty Wifi adapter - Stops working intermittently

    Hi,

    I'm facing a problem with my Xbox one X. Sometimes my console won't recognize any WiFi networks. I can't see my own Wifi, and nor my neighbors wifi as well. I'm able to connect/see those networks from other devices such as my laptop, smartphones and tablet.

    If I reset my Xbox I'm able to see the wifi networks again, but I'm afraid that there might be something wrong with my Wifi adapter. Is there something I can do to fix this issue permanently?

    If you are running into speed issues or lag with the console or in-game let's have you follow all of the steps on the
    Slow performance guide.

    Keep in mind that most games on the console are not designed with Wifi in mind and for online gaming the best connection is a wired one.

    Post back and let us know how those steps go!

    Xbox One slow Mbps test

    It's an issue on both consoles. I returned the PS4 for an Xbox One because of the molasses download speeds (13mbps on a 100mbps connection). 7-8 hours to download something I could download on my PC or Laptop (or my Smartphone, even) in 1.5-2 hours.

    The Xbox One got even slower speeds on WiFi (literally half that of the PS4), but it did bump up quite a bit using Ethernet while the PS4 was molasses slow on both Ethernet and WiFi.

    Just got back from returning my Xbox One for refund. This was one of the issues stated.

    I already am connected to Ethernet, it's my laptop who is in WIFI.

    I know that WIFi is less "powerfull" than ethernet that why i'm surprise that my laptop in WIFI is faster than my Xbox in Ethernet.

    Have you tried to
    Speed Test     your network?

    While this might not be the source of your issue, I found that in the past my Cable company had bad lines in my home and the WiFi 200 speed was below 10. They were the source of my poor Xbox connection.

    That said, it could be your console or maybe this might help:
