Xbox One X Warranty Issue

Okay, I have an Xbox one x since launch date. Have had constant crashing to dashboard and automatically turning itself off.

Have tried all the restart options, with powering off cycle and reset to factory settings etc.

The Xbox was sent back in March 18 for analysis and repair. Returned back in April 18, the same issues occured and recently getting worse.

Contacted Microsoft support on 3rd Sept 18. I looked at Warranty status on my Account and states my Xbox is out of Warranty! How can this be if I have not had the Xbox for a year?....unable to swap console via Microsoft support as they say it is no longer
supported under Warranty?

Advised to contact retailer to ask about the warranty and why it's not a year. I don't have time being played between suppliers...

Regardless it's not even a year since launch of your xbox one x product, so cannot see why Warranty is no longer in place?

Btw the console returned on April 18 has a small cosmetic dent, to which I have photo before and after and I raised this back in April.

Appreciate if Microsoft can address the problems on the console? It's been sent back once, done numerous powerdowns/resets and does not appear to have corrected the problem. It's gotten to the point where I am unable to play games without console crashing
or turning off constantly.

just bought a brand new xbox one x and it show under warranty until 03/11/2019...? not one year???

just bought a new Xbox one x , july 28 2018 and it show Under warranty till 03/11/2019 … mean march 11 or novemver 3 2019?

does the Xbox one x has 1 year Under warranty?

The warranty is tied to the console and it would come with a 1 year warranty.

 

Your warranty is from that date or purchase on your receipt.

Depending on your region this could be 1 or 2 years.

This is with the place of purchase, if you have had the unit replaced directly with MS, then you will need to go back to MS, as the Serial number may have changed on your unit.

Not sure if your in the UK, but if your device becomes faulty again, you can request a refund or a full replacement of the unit, you would need to check with the citizens advice bureau on this.

To go along with the other posts If you have a copy of your receipt you should be able to send xbox support a copy of the receipt and they should be able to honor the warranty from that date.

 

Hi All, thank you for responses. I did mention that to support that I had this confirmation but they advised that I needed to speak to the retail store asking them why the warranty has not been honoured. Which seemed a little odd.

Given that the console is not even a year old when I received at launch date.

As the others have stated, please have a copy of your receipt. Then contact support and send the copy of the receipt. The best way to reach Live Support would be here:

Contact Us. They may want to know the date the console was purchased, as well as the serial number for the console; aside from the receipt.
