    xbox one x VRR greyed out

    hello,

    i have an xbox one x with an asus VG27WQ monitor.

    and i cant get the VRR to work

    it should work i believe, in the manual it says

    * Adaptive-Sync can only be activated within 48Hz ~ 165Hz (DisplayPort only) and 48Hz ~ 144Hz (HDMI only).

    is that right? or is the monitor incompatible with 1080p and 120hz with RVV.

    i have tried alot of things, hopefully someone can give me an answer of this

    greetings joey

    :)

    Xbox One X VRR Issue

    I had the same issue using a Denon hdmi 2.1 AVR. I solved it using VRR with 120hz, but I have a hdmi 2.1 tv and a Series X, not One X. I guess you are stuck with 4k without vrr or full hd 120 and vrr. Another solution is to connect the Xbox directly to the tv and use arc/earc for audio, but One X does not support 4k 120hz, so you are stuck with full hd 120 if you use vrr.

    Variable Refresh Rate greyed out with a AMD compatible Monitor (HP 27xq AMD FreeSync monitor)

    Hello,

    VRR is supported via HDMI 2.1. The Xbox One X is the only console that has HDMI 2.1. Xbox One S has HDMI 2.0. This Fall 2020 the new Xbox Series X will also support HDMI 2.1 features like VRR, Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and up to 120fps support.

    Warzone at 120hz & 1440p not smooth and stuttering

    I found out the problem. For some reason, vrr ( variable fresh rate) was greyed out under graphics. I unplugged the hdmi and pluged back in and it is enabled again.

    I don't understand why at first place it was greyed out and console was keeping at 120 hz constant. Now it fluctuates again and game is really smooth and graphics are great.

    Will Xbox provide a fix for HDMI 2.0 144hz monitor to support 1440p 120hz/VRR OS Display Settings

    Which xbox are you trying to connect with? The xbox one s and the x should be able to run 1440p at 120hz. They should be compatible with VRR also.
