As long as the console is placed in an place where it gets enough air you are good to go. Plus the console is build up to Power down if it get critical to overheating.

Xbox One X is liquid cooled, so there should be an efficient level of heat dissipation as is. Common sense and rule of thumb, is to not clog up the area of your Xbox with other devices, to ensure good ventilation of the back vents, as your console still
needs to breathe!

It is normal to feel the console warm to medium heat, but nothing excessively hot. If your console does overheat, you will be prompted on screen and the console will shut down.

As soon as your xbox switches itself off, it means it has gotten to hot.

In short the xbox one x generates more heat than the xbox one s and earlier due to increased performance.

Allow the system to breath, and unless it is shutting down due to overheating it should be fine. There is no "specific" temperature as you can be taxing the console differently based upon what you may be playing vs if the console is just sitting idle
on the home screen, etc.
