    I was looking for a new Blu Ray player that supports 4K HDR and Dolby Vision playback with 4K HDR Dolby Vision Blu Ray disc's. The salesman at Best Buy suggested than instead of buying a dedicated 4K HDR Dolby Vision Blu Ray player,I should instead buy
    a X Box One X as it the same price as the Blu Ray player I am looking at. He said that the X Box One X supports 4K HDR with Dolby Vision play back with 4K HDR Dolby Vision disc's. I called the XBox support but they couldn't confirm this. Also I want to use
    the X Box One X as a 4K streaming device for netflicks and you tube TV. Can anybody confirm that the Xbox One X will support both 4K HDR. Dolby Vision Blu Ray play back and 4K streaming? Thanks in advance for any feed back.

    Yes, 4K HDR Dolby Vision works with the Blu-Ray player and NetFlix on the Xbox One X.

    I got a response from Customer Service: no support for Dolby Vision on Blu-ray app on Xbox One X at the moment (not even on Xbox Series X).

    They said they are working on that, since a lot of people made complaints about this issue. I hope it's true, it's ridiculous to not support Dolby Vision nowadays on a device that has been promoted as a valid Blu-ray player.

    I have a XBOX One X connected to an OLED LG C8. If I use the Netflix app on XBOX One X then the LG will display Dolby Vision. So I know that it is passing. But If I use a 4K Bluray that has Dolby Vision, the player will only output HDR。Blu-ray
    playback is already up to date.

    Yes, please bring Dolby Vision support to the Xbox 4k Blu-ray player! I have a vast collection of 4k Blu-Rays and a tv that supports Dolby Vision (LG C9).

    Of course the Blu-Ray disks I'm using are UHD and have Dolby Vision.

    Dolby Vision is enabled on Xbox One X settings, TV HDMI ports are in Enhanced mode (4:4:4 4K/UHD HDR 60Hz), and the TV test (that can be found inside Xbox menu) returns all green ticks for my Xbox-to-TV connection.

    As said, Dolby Vision works with all streaming apps... but not when playing Blu-Ray UHD Dolby Vision disks.
