Xbox one x usb hub and controller issues

I won an xbox one x from mountain dew and it arrived about a week or two ago. I love it but there have been some strange issues.

My charging setup is 2 usb 3.0 powered hubs daisy chained and charging xbox one controllers, dual shock 3's and 4's while connected to the xbox. This has been my setup for some time without problem on my og xbox one, but on the x there has been some strange
happenings. The lights on the usb hub reset and the xbox one x will turn on occasionally. Also the dual shocks seem to have the lights reset at the same time. Is there some info somewhere on the expected behavior of the usb ports? Im not sure if i should
send the console in or not.

Second issue is that the controller that came with the system randomly loses connection. My old controller does not do this. All controllers updated. I definitely will queue up a service request for this but just wondering if this is a widespread issue.
On the whole, should i just send the whole package in for replacement? I do not want a refurbished one returned to me. If this is still the MO, i will go buy one and return the possibly defective one.

    :)

  2. Xbox one controller on PC

Hello. I just bought Xbox one controller to use with PC (Windows 10). I have a problem when controller doesn't work properly in _powered_ USB 3 hub. When plugged in, controller lights up and appears in Devices and printers/Device manager, but doesn't appear
in joy.cpl or respond in games. It works properly in all ports on my mainboard, including the one hub usually occupy, so the problem is apparently the presence of the hub. But when I try various devices in the hub, they work without issues. What could be the
reason? Where can I find some error messages? There's nothing in the event log. Also, another question. Can I somehow update controller's firmware in the controller from Windows?

    Hi Warjax.

Somehow I bet your issue with controller not working in keyboard's USB was power related, Xbox One controller have four motors in it and is therefore quite power hungry. That's why _powered_ hub is requirement, which is something what is not in keyboard's
hub for sure. I don't have my PC close to TV so to use onboard USBs is very inconvenient, it means to run another cable beside the one going to the hub in question.

Xbox one x usb hub and controller issues

i should clarify, the hubs and controller charging works as expected when the console is on. There seems to be some type of polling on the ports or something when the console is off.

for the record, the usb ports now do not work correctly quite often at all until the console is power cycled.

How to connect usb microphones let's sing to xbox x series

Hello, JessicaB87 my name is Oskayra I am independent advisor and I will be happy to help you today.

The Xbox Series X does have only one USB port on the front, which can be limiting when connecting multiple USB devices. However, there are a couple of ways to connect two USB microphones for Let's Sing 2023 on your Xbox Series X.

    Option 1: USB Hub

The most straightforward solution is to use a USB hub. A USB hub is a device that allows you to connect multiple USB devices to a single USB port. You can connect the two USB microphones to the USB hub, and then plug the USB hub into the Xbox Series X's front USB port.

    Option 2: USB Adapter

If you don't have a USB hub, you can use a USB adapter. A USB adapter is a device that allows you to connect a USB device to a different type of port, such as an audio jack or a microphone jack. You can connect one of the USB microphones to the Xbox Series X's controller using an adapter, and then connect the other microphone to the front USB port.

    Which option is better?

The better option for you will depend on your specific needs and preferences. A USB hub is the more versatile option, as it will allow you to connect more USB devices in the future. However, a USB adapter is a more affordable option, and it will be smaller and more portable.

I hope this helps! Don't hesitate to ask if you have any further questions or need additional clarification.

Troubleshoot the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows

Please try not using the USB hub and use a direct USB to USB to your PC for the xbox one controller.

Otherwise, the warranty for the xbox one controller does not cover accidental damage. You will have to buy a new one if there's a problem here.

As for the xbox 360 controller, the play and charge kit does not make it a USB controller, that device only transfers power, not data - even though it shows up on device manager. You will need the Xbox 360 wireless receiver for windows for that to work,
or a purely wired xbox 360 controller.

As for the USB hub having issues, please uninstall it from the device manager and reboot and see if it gets the drivers reinstalled.
