Xbox One X uploads/deletes failing

My console is an Xbox One X.

Each time I try to upload a video capture, it seems like it worked fine. I even get a notification saying that the capture was uploaded. However, if I try to use that notification, I get a prompt saying that something went wrong and to try again later. If I check my uploaded captures, I can see that the capture did in fact not upload. I've tried multiple methods to try and get around it, including trimming the video down to 5 seconds, but I haven't had any luck. I've been testing various methods for 45 minutes now, yet nothing has worked. Here's what I've attempted.

I've already restarted my xbox, internet routers, and modem. I have (attempted, see below) cleared my uploaded files completely(despite my xbox live storage not even close to being filled), and retried it multiple times.

My capture and privacy settings are absolutely fine by every standard as I have compared them with other posts similar to this and tried those methods to fix this. If internet was an issue then the upload would never finish.

One thing I took note of is that when I thought I deleted my old uploads, going back to view my uploads on the xbox network shows that none of the deleting actually worked. All of my previous uploads are back as they were before. I can still view them which goes to show that they clearly weren't deleted off the network, otherwise they wouldn't load.

Based on my better judgement I've concluded that this problem resides on the Xbox Live servers. Just in case, is there any other solution I could attempt to hopefully get my uploads to work again?

Sorry to hear about what happened. I appreciate your efforts in trying to get it fixed.

I actually have seen this issue from other players already. I believe that this is a bug on their system where your uploaded captures are not showing on your Xbox app on mobile and also can't delete them. I suggest that you instead wait and try it again at a later time.

Just to confirm, what Xbox console are you on - Xbox One or Series X|S? Please specify the exact model. What resolution is the clip you’re trying to upload - 720p or 1080p?

Is there any specific error code/message when the clip fails to upload, and do you have sufficient storage space? It should indicate whether the file size/upload limit has been reached for anything.

Where it explains under ‘Upload to the Xbox network from your console’:

You can upload up to 10 GB of captures to the Xbox network. Once you reach those limits, you’ll need to delete existing captures to upload new ones.

Hi Anderson

Thank you for the reply. All my regions are the same. I have deleted my account and reinstalled it. The first capture worked fine and uploaded to Xbox live, however the subsequent ones didn’t they failed with the same error. Is there anything else you can suggest.

It’s ridiculous. Microsoft broke it with their update and they’re failing to acknowledge that their update is the root of the problem.

Are you on the One X also? Everyone I’ve seen so far with this issue is playing on the One X and has just updated to the latest XBox patch. I haven’t seen anyone have the issue on a One S yet.

I agree with this, I have the same issue but with Battlefield 4 every time I rank up. Also affects me when I want to view a friends game clip but can't find it because it is cluttered with FIFA 14 videos.

Xbox staff would reccommend you post here:
forums.xbox.com/.../default.aspx - Personally, that is your best bet but I don't want to get anyones hopes up.
