    Xbox one x upload speeds

So I've been having issues with upload speeds on my xb1x. Contacted my ISP and they did everything on their part but I'm still having a upload problem. My upload speed is 2mbps but it drops to .3 and fluctuates up to 2Mbps and this is wired to the router
and the modem for testing. I kept calling my ISP thinking it's something on their part that causing it. Ran speed tests via my phone and laptop (both wirelessly) and the upload speed never dropped below 1.9Mbps. After doing these tests over and over again,
the only conclusion is that my Xb1x is the problem. Anyone have any solution for this?

    :)

Another thing that you have to remember is this.

When using your local devices (laptop, Phone) it is looking for the closest server geographicaly to do the speedtest with.

When using your xbox system it is doing the test to Microsoft servers in Seattle WA so if it will take longer for the data to be sent to Seattle WA and come back to you so the speed is going to be slower.

If you go on your Laptop or phone to one of the speedtest sites and choose a different server for it to try and do the speedtest on and choose one in Seattle WA I bet it is going to be slower than one around your local area.

Thank you Zero, Yeah not experienced. Just trying to learn more and just was concerned with why my speeds are not like everyone else I see. So thought maybe there was an issue with the xbox.

    Hey FCP Reaper

I be glad to help you out and point you in the right directions. Depending on the router and modem you have there are presets in them that limit certain capabilities. I.E they throttle your connections so you don't go over board. I would set the Xbox as
the DMZ meaning it will have priority over all other device when it is on. As well set port forwarding (Don't effect speed per say but it helps packets pass through a lot faster)

Best website to get you started is
    Port Forward
