Xbox one X update and connectivity

This has happened to many people in 2019 and it appears its going around again; I tried to turn on my xbox to play a game to find it wasn't connected to the internet, I take my console with me out of town so I know how to reconnect. There is no reason I
should have to reconnect because I was on only two hours before and everything was working fine but I went through the process and noticed my xbox thought it was connected to the internet. I attempted to find my network since the console just said 'wireless'
but the xbox couldn't find it and just to check i looked to see if my phone and laptop could find it and everything was fine. I tried to hit 'Go Offline and 'Disconnect Wireless' to no avail. I tried changing up my ip address and change my desktop settings
to give my xbox a wake up call that it wasn't connected but that didn't work either. I tried resetting my mac address but when it came time for the console to reset my screen didn't change which inevitable led me to smash my A button. Scouring the internet
and finally I decided to reset my console after not finding any helpful solutions. Reset as in erase everything except my games. When it came back on it asked for language, region, then immediately went to its time to update. I made sure to turn my router
off before hand just to try and get past this problem but wouldn't you know my console still thinks it is connected to the internet but it is not. So no I'm stuck in an infinite loop; turn xbox on, immediately goes to update after xbox logo, having trouble
connecting(duh) try to enter my info manually which has worked before when my network is 'hidden but isn't now. I have a $500 paper weight now that I cannot use other than to raise my electric bill. Please if anyone knows how to fix this let me know.

I searched it as well which is how I found out this was an xbox one issue previously but no one on the xbox forum(or anywhere else) could give anyone an answer besides 'power cycle console'. Cant even chat because apparently updates aren't covered through
that. Seeing as it is a holiday and the weekend is also here im not going to get to play my brand new 100 game of cold war. Does anyone have any suggestions?
