    4K on xbox one?

    What does normal Xbox One usage look like on a 4k TV? Is the picture upscaled, and is there any loss in picture quality as a result? I'm assuming not but my next TV will probably be a 4k one and wondered what the deal was.

    4K on xbox one?

    It'll be upscaled by the TV or possibly the av amp, so it's dependent on the ability of those.

    Xbox one x tv picture loss

    Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

    Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

    Hi thanks for the response i have just literally got back from Argos and

    got a replacement it was just doing it to much. If this one does the same i will try your suggestion before I take it back and get a refund.

    Solution - TV with AND without Xbox One

    Do you lose any picture quality or Xbox TV features? Also, does your Xbox still turn your TV and box on/off?

    I'm also figuring you end up using 2 hdmis on your TV as opposed to 1, and if your Xbox goes into standby does the TV picture problem still exist when trying to watch through the Xbox? (Loss of TV picture when coming out of standby)

    Hi,

    A 4K TV with Xbox One X is the Optimal experience, it's not mandatory. The console can make use of 'super Sampling' which will give a better picture on a 1080p TV than a standard Xbox One or Xbox One S.

    Re #9 - (I'm pretty noob at this stuff) but this does mean that I would get slightly better image quality on my non 4k-tv using the Xbox One X vs original Xbox One?

    Yes, the picture on your 1080p TV would also be improved.
