    Xbox One X turns on for a minute but shuts off


    Today I was playing THPS1+2 on my xbox one x. I have all my games downloaded to an external drive while everything else is saved internally, having about 1.4 TBs of free space in total. I made it to the main menu where the xbox pop-uped with a message saying
    to clear local save files, when I hit continue it just took me to my info page (Xbox IP Address, Name of Console) but I didn't see a saves options so I hit b and it took me back to Tony Hawk. and Tony Hawk said that auto saves were disabled and I had to manually
    save. So I manually saved it, then turned my xbox off.

    ~15 minutes later, I hit the power button on my controller, and the xbox didn't turn on at all. so I got up and hit the power button and still nothing. I did the 10 second power button hold to reboot it (which I hadn't had to do on this xbox one yet) but
    now I'm at the point where the xbox turns on for about a minute, makes some noises like it's running, fan starts, startup beeps, then it shuts itself off after about a minute, showing nothing on the TV. In the recent month or so my xbox has also shut itself
    off for no reason due to improper ventillation even though it's in a very open spot in my room so I cleaned the ventilation of the shell and I opened my xbox and tried cleaning it internally to see if those would help. I plugged it back in after getting the
    (kinda complicated) top shell back on and still nothing. I even unplugged my external hard drive thinking it may have been drawing power somehow.

    I'm worried it may have something to do with the version I'm on, I'm using the beta update program thing, and usually when something weird happens I revert back to the normal version everyone else has and it works again. I also have set so my xbox doesn't
    go into sleep mode when I turn it off because I've had issues with that as well. But obviously I can't access my xbox to try to mess with any settings

    Right now I'm just gonna leave it for a couple hours and try again to see if it's just being weird, but if anyone knows what's going on please help.

    This problem happened with me yesterday. let me explain how I got through it..... I turned off the following ( X-Box 360, Cable Modem, Router) All three need to be shut off as I tried one at a time with no avail... After turning them off wait about 20-30
    minutes. Turn on the Cable modem first. Wait 1 minute. Turn on Router, wait 1 minute and turn on X Box 360.. My system has worked perfectly ever since...:)

    Do a power cycle turn off the xbox holding the button for 30 seconds then after it shut off wait a few minutes then turn it on, it should stop the game from freezing

    I'm experiencing the same issues. My system was working fine for the first few weeks but when I start playing it today, it keeps shutting off. Every time I'm 5 minutes into the game the system will shut off. And there would be a few times when after it shuts
    off, I will turn it back on and it will shut off a second later. It will do this like 5 times until it turns completely on. I hardly was playing my Xbox one. I probably played it 10 times since I bought it.

    Was having the same issue as everyone here. I resolved it this way:

    Step 1: Shut my Xbox One X completely off (Home>System>Turn off console).

    Step 2: Once my Xbox One X restarted, it signed in to Xbox Live just fine.
