Xbox One X turns off instantly after turning on

project scorpio edition since launch

was working fine until the other day.

nothing changed. no new hardware or software added.

now all of a sudden, it has started powering itself off 1 second after the startup chime is heard.

once its off, pressing the front button will turn on the machine, it will then boot as if its been in energy saver mode (4k logo etc), and work perfectly until powered off again.

i have tried removing the power cable for 10-20seconds. no difference.

i have tried disconnected both of the external hard drives. no difference.

console is set to instant-on

hard drives set to poweroff

6hr inactivity timer.

external peripherals connected - turtle beach x800 headset - usb3

2tb western digital mypassport usb3 hdrive

500gb samsung evo usb3 ssd

X Box One stopped powering TV on and off

My X Box One recently stopped turning my TV on and off with the console. I have a connect attached, but I have always left it turned off unless I am actively using it., so I have never had volume or channel control through the X Box, but until recently,
turning on the X Box would turn on the TV, and turning off the X Box would turn off the TV. Any ideas on how to get that working again?

the xbox one is not turning on

Every time i plug my xbox one in the wall socket the light in the energy cable turns white for a second and instantly becomes red again after that, when i try to turn the xbox one on the symbol lights up, makes the sound of turning on but after that he turns
off by itself. I tryied to plug it in another wall sockets in many other houses but the only place that it worked was in the workshop. What should i do to fix it?

Hi Archie.

Most likely a faulty PSU. What model of Xbox are you having issues with ? Does it have internal or external Power Supply ?

On the back of the xbox it says model 1787 and I’m pretty sure it has an internal power supply.

Thanks for the reply. No need to apologize. I've got to admit, you are much more forgiving than me!! Lol!! I wouldn't spend another dime to buy a new system. I guess it's just a lesson learned. I never really played on it much, was just gonna look
into getting the Game Pass Ultimate since they have the offer of matching any Live Gold subscription period...........lucky it broke down before I invested more money into it.

There is no need to let the console "sit unplugged for an hour", that just prolongs the frustration of not playing,
unless the console is overheated.

Are you able to connect your controller to the console with a play and charge uSB and try to turn the console on using the controller Nexus button?

Are you connected WiFi or wired ethernet cable?
