Xbox One X turning off

    Xbox One X turning off


    Needing help with my One X, it is out of warranty (usually I buy extended but of course I didn’t this time) and hoping to find a fix before sending it in. Here’s the history: I played Red Dead Redemption 2 from November to February without any issues. Started
    playing Apex legends when it dropped and that was fine too. Started to play Anthem when it came out and couldn’t - withing 15 minutes the game would freeze and crash to the xbox dashboard, twice it shut my console off completely during a freeze (still does)x.
    Since then I have begun having some graphic issues in apex legends - weird dots and lines would occur randomly like a dark lightning bolt throughout the game world but gameplay overall would not affected and it has never crashed. Now I have started trying
    to play The Division 2 and within 15 minutes my Xbox will completely shut down within a second. No flashing white light or anything, but playing and then completely off. Turns back on just fine like it was completely powered down (not in standby mode which
    i have ot set to go to). It does not shut off if it is not playing a game. Anyone have any idea what could be the issue or what I could try before sending it in?

    It is not getting overheated, I have tried plugging into other power outlets, I have completely reset it to factory, I have cleared out the bluray persistent storage

    Try In Hdmi 1 See if that is the slot that has the 4k I have been checking it slots and it might be the close, Also have to ask if the TV itself is plugged into the internet or not. Some TV's have had a bad update ect. So might be a problem as well.

    Hi there David, I have heard of simular issues, I have to ask you if you have tried it on all ports of your 4k tv sometimes it is just one slot that has 4k and because it's asking the tv for 4k on the wrong hdmi slot it is saying no and giving you this
    type of error. I will try to look up the TV a bit more closely to check if there is a set slot to try and assist you on it further.

    Hello David,

    Do you know anyone else with a 4K TV that you can try the console on? Also make sure you plugging it directly into the wall outlet. As power strip and ext. cords can sometimes not allow the recommended power for the console to work properly.
