Xbox one x turning off while update

Try to bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter, follow these steps:



First, power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.



Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.



Press and hold the Pair button (located on the left side of the console) and the Eject button (located on the front of the console), and then press the Xbox button  on the console.





NOTE: The Xbox One/Series S All-Digital Edition does not have an Eject button. You can bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter on this console by holding only the Pair button (steps 3 & 4) and then pressing the Xbox button .





Continue holding the Pair and Eject buttons for 10-15 seconds.



Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the Pair and Eject buttons after the second power-up tone.



The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.



Once there please select Reset this Xbox - Reset keeping the games and apps.

The thing is it was working just fine before the update and while updating, this happened. Now whenever I turn it on, it just makes a beep and the light on the Xbox button turns on and then after a few seconds, it just turns off. it is charging my controllers. I was just wondering it all happened while an update and doesn't make any sense

Try using the console on another wall outlet and plug the console directly into the wall. If the console still turns off immediately when trying to turn it on, the repair is needed. At this link, you can send the console to Microsoft for repair.

With your console turned on, press and hold the power button until the console turns off. Remove the power cord, restart your internet devices, turn on your console and try updating again. If you use an external hard drive connected to the console, remove it.

If the problem persists, run this command below. You should see a screen with 4 options, select ''reset'' and then keep games and app. You won't miss a thing but will go through the initial setup and have to log in to your accounts. Email and password are required.
