    XBOX ONE X turning off when switching games


    Hi All

    Logged this issue though the xbox quite a few times now, but is anyone else having an issue with the Xbox One X, when you swap games sometimes the xbox one x just turns itself off.

    Happened from day one of the Xbox one X coming out, so i don't think it is a preview issue.

    If no-one else has had this issue, then i might have to log a call for a console replacement. it is really starting to get annoying now

    Xbox turning off when switching channels.

    I have my xbox plugged into my computer using only a HDMI cable. Whenever I switch between using the computer and the Xbox the Xbox just completely resets. Any ideas how to stop this?

    Turn off the power switch to Xbox One X after it is turned off

    This shouldn't hurt the console as it is considered one of the power cycling steps. However, if you want to shut your console off fully why not just take it off of the energy saving mode? Have it shut down completely when you're not using it.

    I believe it should be ok to turn the switch off, and the bleep you hear may be from the in built power supply unit.

    The console is probably still in a very low power mode. There shouldn't be an issue with unplugging it.

    If you truly want to power off the console you should be doing it by holding down the power button for several seconds on the console.
