Xbox One X turning off by itself any time I try to load any game.

I sent my Xbox One X in to have the HDMI retimer chip and port replaced. Upon return the original issue has been fixed, and there is output to my TV. However, any time I try to load any game the xbox shuts off, and gives me the poor ventilation error message on restart. Apps like YouTube, Netflix work fine. It's only games, and it's almost instantly. The xbox will sometimes make it past the initial loading screen by a second or two. (As in if I try to play morrowind, it will make it a second or two into the original xbox start up screen.)

I disassembled the xbox, turned it on, and found that the fan works fine. Also, the heat sink doesn't appear to be exceptionally dirty. I can see right through it. Even with the console half disassembled, (I even pointed a fan straight at it to see if it made any difference) it still would shut off right away when trying to load a game. With the same poor ventilation error message. I felt inside the console as it was doing this and it didn't feel like it was overheating.

From research online I've narrowed it down to either the thermal paste on the cpu needing to be replaced, or a bad internal power supply. (I used 3 different power cables, different outlets, directly into the wall) no difference.) Judging by the poor ventilation error message I would assume it's the former.

Has anyone ever seen anything like this? Is it possible it's the internal power supply even though it's giving me the poor ventilation message? I watched a video of a guy purposefully overheating his One X by unplugging the fan, and letting it run. He was able to load into forza and play for a five-ish minutes before it overheated. Makes me wonder why mine shuts off instantly when trying to load any game, even if the xbox has been off for hours.
