    Xbox One X - Turn on / Turns off immediately


    My son has a 1TB Xbox One X which has been working without fault since purchase.



    Then this morning he attempts to power on the console, the power light will come on, it chimes and then after 4-5 seconds it will power itself off.

    It sounds as though the HDD starts spinning but the main fan does not seem to kick in.



    Have tried power cycles etc, it just will not properly boot up.



    There have been no hardware changes, no cable changes or anything like that.



    I now see there are several people that have had a problem such as this in the past but can't see any valid solutions.



    Has anyone encountered this issue and managed to get the Xbox working again without having the physically repair the console?

    I have looked into it and i believe it is because you console is trying to connect to something but cant, once you have pressed the xbox button and the light shows up try pressing on the right side of the front the button that has three arrows pointing
    out then on top of your xbox controller press the button with the same symbol at the same time tell me if anything happens

    Hmm tried it with no success.

    Could be on to something though....

    My son says it was turned off at the power point overnight and he tried to turn it on in the morning via the controller.

    He then realized it was switched off at the power point but has not been able to get past the light/chime since.

    Perhaps the controller and console have lost contact with each other?

    Have tried this thank you, no luck.

    Just the same cycle repeats.

    After being disconnected from the power, first press of power button, chime but no light.

    Second press, light come on, chimes, then turns off.

    The nearest Microsoft store is 1500kms away :(

    It hasn't been shaken or dropped as i understand, he is very careful with it, it is his most treasured possession.

    This is most likely because the console has been shaked or dropped i would try unplugging and replugging all the cords including hdmi and seeing if that works if that doesnt work you may need to get it fixed
