    My Xbox One X has been displaying very poorly recently. There are various issues relating to textures and picture quality. I don't believe my Xbox is displaying in 4k UHD. When I switch it from 1080p to 4k, is becomes noticeably worse in quality. In games, textures are blurry, very grainy, and they constantly flicker. I have looked at many game-play videos regarding the Xbox one x. However, my Xbox one x doesn't nearly compare to the graphic quality of these other Xboxes. I have tried switching TVs, color depth, reapplying thermal paste, etc. Games like Far Cry, apex legends, and AC: Black flag look terrible. There might be a sharpness issue. I have tried to turn up sharpness on my TV. And I noticed when I record a video of it happening in game on my phone, the video looks amazing compared to what is actually being displayed. Please help

    Are you ready for X1X and prepared to download extra 50 GB on every game????

    As I said, not all games will have 4K textures. The new Assassins Creed Origins patch for Xbox One will bring 4K support. It's size is 1.8GB. Small? That's because it has no 4K texture enhancement. The gane will be 4K though on One X.

    Hello Sleeeves,

    The main reason you are experiencing this issue with the textures is due to the Xbox one X having native 4K textures. When you moved the game over to your older Xbox one, the textures may start at 720p and sometimes go up to 1080p. Without the Xbox one
    X, your enhancements will not be shown on the older generation console.

    There is an update for the Xbox One X, but it's only around 1GB. The game will then play in 4K, but it does not have any extra 4K textures.

    In system settings, Back up and Transfer, you'll notice this is a 'Download 4K game content'.

    This setting should not apply to Xbox One S games. If this option is ticked, the 4K content will be downloaded, but it won't be a applied to the game unless you play said game again on an Xbox One X console. Otherwise, it uses the standard textures.

    Also, bear in mind, '4K content' doesn't necessarily mean new textures. Many games have no additional textures, just a set of files to push the game resolution into 4K when the game is run on an Xbox One X console.

    I've not seen any instances of Enhanced games with missing textures on original Xbox One hardware, or the One S.
