Xbox One X syncing controller issues

So my Xbox One X recently started having syncing issues with any controller I use new or old. It appears to be a software issue because even when I connect a controller with a micro USB cable it will either not work or work for a few seconds and then stop
working and then work again and repeat. When I click the sync button directly under the power button it won't even attempt to search for nearby devices at all.

Sometimes when my controller is working fine with the Xbox it'll automatically unsync randomly.

Is there a fix or update for this issue it's been happening for like 3 months now. It was fine when I first got my Xbox One X at launch.

X and controller sync

I've had issues with computer/laptop/phone/etc. when trying to resync controllers after using them elsewhere, but never with Xbox. I've mostly had issues connecting my 8bitdo controller to things.

I've mostly just kept my Gears of War 4 controller synced to the X, but I went back and forth with one that came with it, and never had any problems, even had all my Xbox controllers connected for Fusion Frenzy.Click to expand...

Same happens to my an my One, but with the X the result is quite random.

Xbox One Blu-Ray Player, audio and video out of sync

Having lip sync problems on my Xbox one. Out of interest does anyone get the same issue on an Xbox one x playing blu ray and 4k blu rays?

same here my first xbox one x had contoller connecting issues. It would work fine for a day and randomly unsync itself, I would have to do a hard shut off for it to connect wirelessly again. I used multiple controllers and the same thing happened for everyone.
So I took it back to walmart and got a new one and it did the same thing. I used the xbox in 3 different rooms to see if something was interfering and it pulled the same thing in each room. So I decided to unplug the power to everything that might interfere
with the wifi or bluetooth signal the xbox uses to connect with the controller, phones, microwave , etc, and it still had problems connecting. Trust me I tried everything to fix it, I even talked with experts about it but with no avail. I think the one x is
a piece of junk if it can't keep a single controller connected. My first gen xbox worked fine with no hiccups, this new system is trash compared.

This does not work as in order to update the controller it need to be connected to the xbox. I thought it was my controller and i got a whole new one to experience the same issue..Even when i have it plugged in it is still not syncing and the sync button
on my xbox one x is not working at all.

Hi Javier, I walked through this but this doesnt help. Pressing the sync button on the xbox one x is not doing anything. Its a console issue not a controller issue.

ALSO, if you just bought the Xbox One X, and haven't tried pairing/syncing the controller, try plugging it in via USB to sync it.

The sync button on my xbox one x will not work ive tried it all from powering down to the hard reset. Any ideas???

I'm sorry to hear that there's issues with the sync button.

I do know that there's an alternative way to sync your controller to the Xbox One.

You can sync your controller by connecting it via USB cable to the Xbox, once plugged in do the hard reset to your console.

Once it's back up try to see if you're able to use your controller wireless, or you can keep it wired.
