Xbox One X Supposed to be fully Backwards Compatible False advertising. How About Kinect?

It was announced last October that Kinect was being discontinued, no surprise they have stopped manufacturing the adapter. Scalpers grabbed the chance to make a quick buck, probably expecting desperate parents to drop the cash on them. I just hope they get
stuck with the stock.

The games just weren't there, developers weren't overly interested. So the kinect became a streaming camera and a remote, for most. Now with third party camera support, the kinects demises was inevitable.

If you can buy an adapter then it`s compatible. Most probably states somewhere in the small print that an adapter is required.

If they licensed production to a 3rd party that would solve the issue. But most probably just not enough of a demand for them for production to continue.

Must admit though, Kinect is something that has never interested me in the slightest.

Everything does work, you can't blame Microsoft for greedy scalpers jumping in and buying up stock. They announced 25th October that the Kinect was not being manufactured, so it would figure that the adapters would be stopped soon after. They probably manufactured
more than enough but scalpers got them first.

But they are still falsely advertising the XBox One X and Xbox One S as fully compatible with the Xbox One when they are not longer compatible with the kinect, so we can blame them, and I think we could even take legal actions against them since this two
products which are are advertised as fully compatible, are not, because they decided to drop production on a required adapter.

Yeah, like others mentioned, Microsoft hasn't announced anything official about the Kinect yet.

If a Kinect is compatible with the Series X, then I would imagine it would be the Xbox One Kinect with the USB adapter.

Also, when it comes to the Series X, Microsoft have already said it will be backwards compatible with everything that already works on the Xbox One family of devices.
