XBOX One X Stuttering video on startup, long green screen then black screen

Just this week my Xbox One X starting acting really weird. I got in but the system seemed really slow and choppy just trying to move around on the home screen. I thought maybe it was controller issue, tried my second controller after turning the first one
off same thing, long lag between moving d pad, stick or even button press. I rebooted my console thinking maybe something was going on that way and I wish i hadn't. Upon restart I heard the opening sound but video was slow to start and stuttered on playback
besides being massively out of sync. Heard the XBOX sound the a few minutes later I got the green screen. It sat on the green screen for a long time and then went to the black screen and nothing never loaded.

Did a hard reset, same thing with video sync and audio on startup where it was out of sync, then green screen the black screen.

Followed support trouble shooter to do a reset, got to home screen but was still having same issue with lag from controller to xbox.

Controller firmware good, have tried controllers wireless, attached to console with USB cable, same thing.

I did another total console factory reset and decided to wipe everything thinking maybe there was a corrupted file causing the issue. Got it back up, still the lag.

Finally did a USB update, got to setup, was so slow and buggy with controller then it was unable to load the sign it for XBOX live.

Guessing my console has major hardware issues and it is out of warranty and on support site said it was going to cost $249 for a repair.

Has anyone else had these issues and am I screwed and my console is now a paperweight?

I know you've already done a factory reset, but have you also tried doing a
Power Cycle? I'd also suggest to try and isolate the issue by using a different display or HDMI cables. If you have exhausted troubleshooting, then it might be best to send your console in for repair if it's still under warranty.

Microsoft haven't said it is. I believe the green Xbox One startup screen will stay, and the Xbox Series X/S will get the new Xbox boot up screen.

I'm having the same issue. It shows the green startup screen for a long time and then a black screen with an error code and once I click continue it just goes back to the black screen. Apparently home took too long so start. I've tried a hard reset and nothing
seems to have changed. Has anybody with the same issue found a solution? Please update.

The
System Update Troubleshooter has steps that can help - from the first page, select "I need to troubleshoot a system update error", then select which Xbox One model you're using (original, S, or X), and then select the "I am experiencing a startup issue"
option.

Give that a shot, and let us know if you see any improvement!

The scenarios described are stuck on green Xbox startup animation, or no green startup animation where my issue is green startup animation transitioning to black screen.
