    Xbox one x stuck on headset audio all the time


    Hi,

    Well I bought the turtle beach stealth 700 wireless headset and it mostly works fine but when I have finished using it, the TV audio stays more quiet than it should be.

    Also when I look at the audio settings it is stuck on headset audio. I even tried hard resetting and no difference.

    Has anyone else had anything like this?

    Xbox one X headset compatability

    You'll ideally want a headset that connects with a 3.5mm audio jack, that way you can simply plug it into your controller.

    My mic doesn’t work on Xbox one X

    Hi. My mic doesn’t work on Xbox one X, it worked fine on my regular Xbox one, and I can hear audio perfectly fine. I’ve tried two headsets that are exactly the same, on three different controllers, and it still doesn’t pick up any audio from my mic.

    Are you able to manually change the settings once the Headset is disconnected from the console and controller?

    Are you using a receiver of any kind with the TV and console?

    If you wouldn't mind following up with a photo of your audio settings on the console we are happy to take a look.

    Also, what brand of TV are you using?

    No I cannot change the settings once I disconnect the headset. In the settings it just says that it will switch audio when I disconnect the headset even though I already did.

    The headset connects directly and wirelessly to the console. No connection to a controller.

    I'm am using an LG smart 4k TV. I will find out the model and get a picture of the settings when I get home.

    Xbox Series X - no dedicated digital sound output

    I'm in a similar situation...

    I use astro a50 gen 2 headset for my audio through optical port, without the optical port on the Series X my £299 astro headset is useless, just had order and spend another £299 for the astro a50 gen 4 to work with the Series X,

    I would have rather have paid an extra £5-£10 more for the Series X console for it to have an optical port than having to pay out £299 for a new headset

    I use a 4K monitor but it has no speakers, so I'm stuck with no audio at all for the Series X until I get my new headset.
