Xbox One X Stuck in Low Resolution Mode

Hi,

I've seen a few similar posts on here, but none with my exact issue. Hopefully someone can help.

My Xbox One X stopped sending a signal to my projector a few weeks ago. I changed the HDMI, did a few power cycles until I found out how to boot the Xbox in low resolution mode (pressing the Xbox and Eject button simultaneously for roughly 20 seconds). This allowed me to use the Xbox in 640x480p resolution.

Since then I have been completely unable to change the resolution higher than that. I have changed the HDMI three times, reset all the connections, and have tried two other TVs. The same issue occurs where if I try to change the resolution, it goes to a blank screen then reverts back to 640x480p.

I have changed the source on the Xbox from auto-detect to HDMI and vice versa multiple times. I have done a factory reset, this hasn't worked either.

If anyone could help with this I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks for your response. I'm afraid it is well out of warranty. I've followed the link you shared for out-of-warranty service orders but there doesn't seem to be any options for the One X. I don't suppose you have an idea what the hardware fault would be so I can look into a repair privately?

My apologies, it does seem like there are no service orders available for the Xbox One X through Microsoft.

I wish I could tell you exactly what's at fault for this malfunction, but I'm afraid that goes beyond my capabilities. In this case, my best advice would be to have your console diagnosed and repaired by a third-party service.
