Xbox One X, streaming to Win10 PC issue

If I restart the Xbox One X console, and stream a game to windows 10 PC, everything works fine, even in very high settings. (although sometime it jitters a bit at random, especially when achievements pop off, but it's bearable).

However, if I disconnect from the stream, and then try to reconnect, the stream is now lagged, stutters like crazy, and is totally unplayable. The only way to fix it is to restart the Xbox again and restart stream.

I'm connected with a wired connection, cat6 ethernet, TP-Link 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet Plastic Desktop Switch (TL-SG1005D).

Is this a known bug with the Xbox windows 10 software app? It seems to happen with the beta app as well.

    :)

  3. Xbox One Media Remote for PC?

    Hi,

Can I use the Xbox One Media Remote with my PC? I'm thinking to control media such as Netflix and presentations (powerpoint). Not for Xbox streaming, just with my Win10 PC. Thanks.

I should point out that this is actually more annoying than it at first sounds, since even if you *shut down* the console into sleep mode, and then try to start up a stream it is often lagged and unplayable. It seems that only the act of restarting the
    console completely fixes the problem.

I've tried all the recommended steps except for putting my console in the DMZ. I will try that later. However, I don't know how putting it in DMZ would fix the problem since the console does stream properly after a restart. It seems more like some weird
bug in the streaming software itself. Was hoping that someone else was having the same issue to confirm.

  7. Hello, Paul,

These lag issues you may be facing could be a result of slow internet/WI-FI connection, in this case I recommend one of these two things listed below:

    1. This option is only useful if your PC is close to you console, this is best used for streaming purposes. Using an Ethernet cable you can plug your Xbox directly into your Laptop or PC, you are to plug one end of you Ethernet cable into your Xbox and the
other into your PC or Laptop, then you are to go to control panel>view network status and tasks>change adapter setting, on there select your Wi-Fi and Xbox connections then right click and click on bride connections.
    2. Make sure you have decently fast internet connections on both your Xbox and PC or Laptop.

Usually this issues is encountered when the PC isn't capable enough of running the tasks or the ping between the two devices is too high, causing lots of lag.

    Thank you for your time

    Best Regards

Again, as I said in my original post: the streaming works fine under initial circumstances. So it cannot be a bandwidth or routing issue. The issue is only when you disconnect from the stream and reconnect, using the Xbox app.

I'm going to assume it's a bug in the Xbox app which doesn't seem able to reconnect to existing streams properly.
